The Compass DeRose Guide to Emergency Preparedness: Communications
This Guide was written 2003-04-13 by Steven J. DeRose, and last updated 2003-04-13.
Note: There's very little in here yet on communications.
Will get to it when I can.
A few notes
- Wired intercom lines to neighbors
- Outdoor antennas for radios and cell phones
- Phone connection run into shelter (protected by conduit, direct to NIB)
- Outdoor signalling: flares, smoke, sound
- 2-way radio: standard rendezvous frequencies (are there any?)
- Protecting electronics from EMP
